Concord-Carlisle Youth Hockey offer:
Learn-to-Skate: The CCYH Learn-to-Skate program is for girls and boys from age 3 on up. Learn-to-Skate sessions are every Saturday morning, including holiday weekends, beginning early November through February at the Middlesex School rink, Concord MA. Learn-to-Skate registration opens in September.
Hot Shots: The CCYH Hot Shot hockey program is our very own in-house non-checking league for players 8-15 yrs old. Our Hotshots program was recently highlighted in the New England Hockey Journal – to read more, Click Here. Our season consists of 14, or more, weeks of games and practices starting early November and running through the end of February. We will be playing games on Saturday or Sundays, and practices on a weekday evening. Monthly schedules are issued in advance for planning purposes. Games and practices are held at the Middlesex School rink, Concord MA. Hot Shot registration opens in September and is limited to 75 registrants.
Mosquito: The CCYH Mosquito program is considered our “Hockey 101” program. Full hockey gear is required including a HECC approved helmet with cage. Most participants will have participated in our Learn-to-Skate program or another learn-to-skate program. The Mosquito program practices on Saturdays and Sundays from early November until the end of February at the Middlesex School. Practice sessions will focus on the basics of ice hockey. Included in the Mosquito registration fee is the annual in-house CCYH Mite Beanpot competition in February 2019 at the Middlesex School. The Mosquito program is geared for boys and girls who were born between 1/1/2011 and 12/31/2014. Mosquito registration opens in September.
Mite: Hockey players who were born between 1/1/2011 and 12/31/2012 will skate from September through April at Valley Sports, Concord MA. Note that some children born in 2013 may be eligible to play on the Mites. This is an individual decision that families may want to make for their experienced player born in 2013. Included in the Mite registration fee is the annual in-house CCYH Mite Beanpot competition in February 2020 at the Middlesex School. Evaluations are required in the spring for placement on a Mite team for the following season. Registration for evaluations opens in March.
Squirt: Hockey players who were born between 1/1/2009 and 12/31/2010 will skate from September through April at Valley Sports, Concord MA. Included in the registration fee is the annual in-house CCYH Squirt Beanpot competition in February 2020 at the Middlesex School. Evaluations are required in the spring for placement on a Squirt team for the following season. Registration for evaluations opens in March.
Peewee: Hockey players who were born between 1/1/2007 and 12/31/2008 will skate from September through April at Valley Sports, Concord MA. Evaluations are required in the spring for placement on a PeeWee team for the following season. Registration for evaluations opens in March.
Bantam: Hockey players who were born between 1/1/2005 and 12/31/2006 will skate from September through April at Valley Sports, Concord MA. Evaluations are required in the spring for placement on a Bantam team for the following season. Registration for evaluations opens in March.
U16/U18 Girls Games-Only: Open to girls in Grades 8-12. Fee: $. Consists of 10 games in Middlesex Yankee Conference Girls Hockey League (MYCGL). Games begin mid-September. Schedule details to follow. For more information contact Andi Rice: andi.rice@comcast.net
U10 ABCC Girls Full-Season 2019-2020: Open to girls ages of 9-10 (turning this age in 2019). This is a full season team starting in early September and running through April of 2020. Consists of 1-2 practices a week and 1 game on the weekends. Practices will be held at Valley Sports Arenas in Concord and Middlesex School in Concord. Players are from Concord, Carlisle, Acton, Boxborough, Sudbury, Maynard, Stow and other surrounding towns. Skill level for this team ranges from beginners to experienced hockey players.
