Our September Sustainability Studio: Storms, Blackouts & Shadow Puppets is part of the library’s annual Climate Prep Week. This event is organized in collaboration with the Concord Chapter of Mothers Out Front, a volunteer-led organization dedicated to ensure a livable climate and better future for all children.
Join us to explore stories about how communities respond with resilience to storms and power outages. Big storms and other forms of extreme weather can be scary for children, but knowing what to expect and how to prepare can help kids feel more confident and secure no matter what weather comes our way!
After sharing some stories, we will have a blast creating shadow puppets from recycled materials.
