All City Troubadours at Concord Band Holiday Pops

The Concord Band’s tradition of Holiday Pops continues this year with the addition of the 18-member chorus, the Newton All City Troubadours, directed by Jaime Alberts and Eric Ritter with collaborative pianist Emma Campbell. The concert is on Saturday, December. 14, 2024, at 7:00 PM, at 51 Walden in Concord.

The Newton All City Troubadours are an auditioned, select chorus made up of Newton’s best 7th, 8th and 9th grade singers. Their mission is to spread joy through the creation of community and music, throughout Newton and beyond.

Under the direction of James O’Dell, the Concord Band Holiday Pops will include traditional seasonal favorites, such as Sleigh Ride and Auld Lang Syne, and a Hanukah piece Shirim by Edward Madden. The All City Troubadours will bring additional holiday spirit to our audience as they sing When You Believe, lead the traditional audience holiday sing along, and join the Band for Christmas Finale arranged for chorus and band Joyce Eilers. The Concord Band will reprise Mancini Spectacular as well as Faure’s Tuscan Serenade with euphonium soloist Doug Ruby.

The concert will be regular audience open seating, and free refreshments will be available at intermission as well as before and after the concert. There will also be a special visitor. Tickets are $25/adults and $10/children, available from ticketstage.com/concordband.
