Emerson Hospital: Anchor Down

Behavioral Health concerns are at an all-time high in our communities.  Many Behavioral Health patients will be treated in Emerson Hospital’s emergency department  or, in the case of adult patients, the specialty floor. The Auxiliary of Emerson Hospital would normally support the needs of the Behavioral Health Department at Emerson Hospital by holding our annual fundraiser, EmerSong.  Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, we could not plan this event.  In its stead, we have produced Anchor Down – a campaign of videos and a website that will educate, inform and raise funds for specific needs within Behavioral Health at Emerson Hospital.

The Auxiliary’s flagship behavioral health fundraiser, EmerSong, was cancelled this year due to COVID-19. Yet we are proud to announce Anchor Down, our fundraising appeal designed to continue this vital mission of supporting mental health services — at a time when our community needs it most. We encourage you to watch these videos produced exclusively for the Auxiliary.

Our goal for this campaign is two-fold: first to raise funds to support those in our community struggling with mental health; and second to share with you a global view of the state of mental health services in Massachusetts, particularly the pandemic’s impact on it, and Emerson Hospital’s role in this crisis.

Join the Auxiliary, contribute to Anchor Down, and learn how your donations can fill the gaps to support inpatient and emergency Behavioral Health care.
